Spontaneous native-speed speech
C1 Advanced Spanish
Fast, natural, and unrehearsed. The level where reduced forms, contractions, and rapid delivery become the norm. 46 reels and counting.
C1 is unrehearsed native-speed listening. Speakers don't slow down for you, articulation reduces, words run together, and disfluencies — false starts, fillers, restarts — start carrying meaning instead of being noise. The work at this level isn't grammar or vocabulary; it's training your ear to handle connected speech: contractions, swallowed syllables, linked words, and the messy shape of spontaneous talk. Get comfortable with not understanding everything on the first pass. Native speakers don't either — they just predict better, using context to fill gaps. Choose clips that feel slightly fast and replay them. First to follow the argument, then to notice exactly which sounds dropped or merged. C1 is the level where you stop translating and start listening like a native does.
