American English

Most students hear American English the most. You hear it in movies, TV, business, and music. About 330 million people speak it in the US. This is close to what most English books teach. Americans always say the r at the end of words, like in car and hard. They also say the t like a d. For example, better can sound like bedder. In fast talk, words run together a lot more than in books. Don't worry about this. Just listen for the main sounds. Americans also use their voice to show jokes. This can be hard to understand from words alone.
