Real talking from Australia
Australian English
Real Australian voices. Natural speed, a special sound, and common words.
About 17 million people speak Australian English. Like British English, they do not say the r at the end of words. But some sounds are different: words like mate, day, and night sound special. Australians often make sentences sound like questions, even when they are not. This can be hard to understand at first. They also like to make words shorter: arvo means afternoon, brekkie means breakfast. People often talk in an easy way, even at work. Once your ears get used to the sounds, this English is not faster than any other kind.
The Reelang English watch page is a page of short videos, like TikTok. The videos are from real people who speak English. Each video has a level and a speed, and we show the accent. It learns how you watch and keeps showing videos at your level.
