Slow speed Japanese
Real Japanese at slow speed. You can hear every word and sound well.
At slow speed, you have time to hear every word. You can hear each particle (wa, ga, o, ni, e) clearly after the noun it marks. You can also hear the polite -masu ending at the end of each verb. Videos for children keep long vowel sounds clear. For example, おばあさん (grandmother) sounds different from おばさん (aunt). These videos also stop between groups of words, so the words do not run together. At this speed, you can also hear pitch: はし can mean chopsticks or bridge, and the pitch tells you which one it is. Pick a video. Listen once for the particles. Then listen again for the verb endings.
