Slow Thai gives you time to hear the tones. Thai has 5 tones, and they change what a word means. มา (come), ม้า (horse), and หมา (dog) sound almost the same, but the tone makes them different words. At slow speed, you can also hear the polite words ครับ and ค่ะ at the end of sentences. Videos for kids, easy learning videos, and slow food videos are good for this, because people say every tone well. Watch a video once for the word. Then watch again for the tone.
