Medium speed Spanish

Natural Spanish is fast. It goes 120 to 160 words a minute. This is how people really talk, in coffee shops, on the phone, in stories. At this speed, real Spanish sounds very different from class Spanish. Words run together. People use small words like pues or o sea when they talk. This speed is hard for many students. Do not stop every time you miss a word. Real people do not hear every word either. Try to get the main idea, not every word. Do not use subtitles right away. Listen first, then check what you missed. Videos about daily life use words you already know, at real speed. This speed is close to the listening part of DELE B1, B2, and SIELE. So this practice also gets you ready for those tests.
