Would: acciones pasadas repetidas
Una alternativa más literaria o nostálgica a «used to» para acciones pasadas repetidas, pero solo para acciones, no estados. «Every summer we would drive to the coast.» «My grandfather would tell the same stories every Christmas.» No puede describir estados pasados («I would be tall» es incorrecto; usa «I used to be tall»).
