Medium speed Indonesian

Real Indonesian at normal speed. You hear easy words mixed with official Indonesian, and words young people use in Jakarta.

Real Indonesian sounds different from the Indonesian in books. In books, people use saya and Anda for you. In real talk, people say aku and kamu, or gue and lo in Jakarta. People also drop small word parts when they talk fast, and add small words like sih and lah. Try watching reaction videos, food shows, and market videos. The pictures help you understand the words. Try to watch without subtitles first. Listen for the action word and the time word. Then watch again and use subtitles to check.
