英式英语里的 “petrol station” 是什么意思？

petrol station 是给汽车加油的地方。Petrol 是英式英语里「汽油」的说法。美国人说 gas，把加油站叫作 gas station。所以同一个地方有两个名字：在英国叫 petrol station，在美国叫 gas station。英国人也会叫它 garage 或 filling station。

这节地点课里老师说：*“I stopped at the petrol station.”" 如果你在英国开车，就会去 petrol station 加油；在美国开车，则去 gas station 做同样的事。
