英式英語裡的「petrol station」是什麼意思？

petrol station 是你去給車子加油的地方。 Petrol 是英式英語裡「汽油」的意思。美國人說 gas，所以稱那個地方為 gas station。同一個地方，英美兩邊叫法不同。在英國是 petrol station，在美國是 gas station。英國人有時也叫它 garage 或 filling station。

這個地點課程裡老師說：「I stopped at the petrol station.」如果你在英國開車，會去 petrol station 加油；在美國則去 gas station 做同樣的事。
