Kannada listening practice
Full native-speaker complexity
C2 Mastery Kannada
Idioms, implicit meaning, rapid wordplay, and cultural subtext: exactly how native speakers talk when they're not thinking about it.
C2 is the level where listening stops being effortful. It's just listening. You catch idioms, jokes, cultural references, regional flavour, and shifts in register without thinking about them. The work at C2 isn't comprehension anymore; it's depth. Notice why a particular word was chosen over a near-synonym, what the speaker's regional or social background tells you about the framing, how humour and irony land in this language differently than in your own. Pick clips with playful, rapid, or culturally dense speech: stand-up, debates, banter between friends, niche subcultures. Stop watching for what you understand and start watching for what surprises you. At C2 the goal is range: the more registers, accents, and subcultures you spend time inside, the more native your ear becomes.
Reelang’s Kannada video feed is TikTok-style: real videos from native Kannada speakers, graded by level and speech speed, tagged by accent. As you scroll, it learns from how you watch and serves comprehensible input matched to your level.
