Who we are

“Reelang” (also “we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by Tojoa LLC (doing business as Reelang), a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. When you use reelang.com or any Reelang app, you’re agreeing to the terms on this page.

What Reelang is

Reelang is a catalog of real short-form videos from native speakers, level-matched to language learners. We index videos that are already public on platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, grade them for difficulty, and surface them to learners at a level they can follow.

Most of the product is free, including watching videos at your level. Reelang+ is our paid plan, and the section below explains what it does and doesn’t pay for.

Creators and how we handle their videos

We don’t re-upload or re-host creators’ videos. We embed them from the original source (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) using each platform’s standard embed player, and we always show the creator’s name and a link back to the original post.

The way we think about it: creators put amazing content out in the world, and language learners (a new audience that would otherwise have a hard time finding them) get a way in. Views and credit stay with the creator.

Videos made in Reelang Studio

Not everything in Reelang is a video we found on YouTube. Some of it is made by Partner Creators inside Reelang Studio, our own recording and editing tool, for Reelang specifically.

Those creators keep ownership of what they make and give us permission to host it, stream it and show it in the app, with their name and a link to their channel. Some of that content we host and stream ourselves, some of it we embed from the creator’s own post.

Every Partner Creator agrees to that in writing when they sign in to Studio: Partner Creator Terms.

If you want something taken down

If you turn embedding off on YouTube or TikTok, the video stops playing in Reelang, because the platform’s own player is all we use.

We honor DMCA takedown requests and remove content when we get a valid notice from a rights holder.

The fastest route is the content removal form. You don’t need to explain why. We respond within 48 hours.

Using Reelang

You’re welcome to browse, watch, practice, and share what you learn. A few things we ask you not to do:

Don’t try to break, scrape, or overload the site. Don’t use Reelang to do anything illegal or harmful to other people. Don’t try to pretend you’re someone else, or misuse any account you may have.

If you create an account, you’re responsible for keeping your login details to yourself and for anything that happens under your account.

Our content and your content

The Reelang name, wordmark, and original text and design on the site belong to us. You can link to any page, talk about the product, and share screenshots in reasonable contexts. Please don’t pass it off as your own.

If you send us feedback, ideas, or suggestions, we may use them to improve the product without any obligation. (We appreciate them, though. Genuinely.)

Reelang+, and what you’re paying for

Reelang+ is our paid plan. It adds learner features on top of the free product: right now, things like a feed built on what you actually watch, words that come back to you in new clips, and unlimited learner insights. That list moves. We add features, and now and then we retire one that isn’t working. Which parts are free and which are paid can move too. What’s included today is listed on the Reelang+ page, and if we change it, we’ll say so.

Here’s the part worth being clear about. Reelang+ pays for our service, not for the videos. The vast majority of videos in Reelang are already public and free to watch on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. We don’t host them, we don’t sell them, and we’re not charging you for the right to watch them. They play in each platform’s own approved embed player, with the creator’s name and a link back to the original post. You could go and watch every one of them for free, today, without us.

What you’re paying for is the finding and the learning. We crawl and grade a lot of video so we can hand you clips that are slow enough, clear enough, and close enough to your level to be worth your time, in the language you’re learning. That’s a discovery service, and the learner features sit on top of it. That’s what a subscription buys.

It also means we can’t promise that any particular video stays available. Creators delete things, platforms change how embeds work, and we take down anything a creator asks us to remove. A video going away isn’t a paid feature going missing.

A Reelang+ account is for one person. Reelang+ Lifetime is a one-time payment for one person and one account. Please don’t share a login, pass it around, or resell access.

If you subscribe, we’ll tell you the price, the billing cycle, and what’s included before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time, wherever you signed up. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.

If something goes wrong on our end (you were charged in error, or a feature you paid for is missing), email [email protected] and we’ll sort it out.

The usual disclaimers

Reelang is provided “as is.” We do our best to keep it running and accurate, but we can’t guarantee the site is always available, that every video we’ve indexed is still playable (creators take things down, platforms change), or that any level assessment is perfect. Use your judgment.

To the extent allowed by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Reelang. If a court ever holds us liable, our total liability won’t exceed what you’ve paid us in the last twelve months (or $50, if you haven’t paid us anything).

Ending things

You can stop using Reelang any time. We can also suspend or end access if someone is abusing the service or breaking these terms. Where possible, we’ll tell you why first.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we end up in a disagreement we can’t resolve by email, it should be handled in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update these as the product grows and update the “last updated” date above. For significant changes we’ll try to give a heads-up on the site or by email. Continued use after an update means you accept the new version.
