What is 'englek' or 'tapak gunung' in Indonesian games?
Englek is Indonesian hopscotch. The basic setup is universal: draw chalk boxes on the ground, throw a flat stone, hop one-footed through the grid. The names shift by region: englek or engklek across Java, tapak gunung ('mountain footprint') almost everywhere, teklek in some Sundanese areas, gala-asin and taplak in others, each village keeping its own.
