“out of” 是什麼意思 (out of water)？

當你 out of 某物時，表示那樣東西已經完全沒有了。I am out of water 意思是我現在沒有水喝，水喝光了。你可以說 out of 很多東西：out of milk, out of money, out of time. 這不代表那東西從來不存在，而是你原本有，現在用完了。商店和家庭每天都在用這個片語。
