What does “calabacín” mean and where is it used?

Calabacín means zucchini, and you’ll hear it a lot from Spanish channels. But the same vegetable has different names around the Spanish-speaking world: depending on the country you may hear calabacín, calabacita, zapallito, or even zucchini. So a recipe from Spain and a menu in Buenos Aires might not use the same word for it.
