How do you say “I trust you” in Spanish?

Confío en ti means “I trust you.” The surprise for beginners is the little word en: the verb confiar (“to trust”) always pairs with en, never de. So you say confío en ti (“I trust you”) and confío en él (“I trust him”). English uses no preposition here, so learners often drop the en by mistake — but in Spanish it has to be there.

The same pattern works for plans and hopes: confío en que todo salga bien (“I trust everything will go well”). Note ti is the form of “you” used after a preposition, so it is en ti, not en tú.
