What is the Swedish rhyme for days in each month?

Swedish kids learn how long each month is with a rhyme that lines up almost word-for-word with the English “Thirty days hath September.” The Swedish one goes: “Trettio dagar har november, april, juni och september. Februari tjugoåtta allen. Alla de övriga trettioen.” (“Thirty days has November, April, June and September. February twenty-eight alone. All the rest thirty-one.”) The knuckle trick (knogmetoden) often comes with it.

In the clip the teacher says a loose version, mixing numbers and words: “30 dagar har november, april, juni och september, februari 28 allen, alla de övriga 31.” That is exactly how it often sounds in Swedish classrooms — the rhyme stays, but the digits sneak in. The companion trick, knogmetoden, has you count months on your knuckles and the dips between them: a knuckle means 31 days, a dip means fewer. It is still taught right alongside the rhyme.
