💡 Did you know?
seguiditas
Spanish diminutive twist
“back to back, one after another” (from seguido, “in a row”)

Seguido means “one after another, in a row,” and the diminutive seguidito (plural seguiditas) softens it into a friendly, coaxing “just back to back.” Spanish adds -ito to more than nouns: adjectives and adverbs take it too, and the effect is warmth or reassurance, not smallness. Cinco sentadillas seguiditas sounds easy, not a heavy order.

The speaker suggests standing up every 20 to 30 minutes for five or six squats seguiditas. Beware the second meaning of seguido in Latin America: as an adverb it can mean “often,” as in voy seguido al gimnasio. The diminutive shows up the same way with other words, like ahorita (right now) and cerquita (very near).
