Hogyan készül a finom bableves otthon

What does “-andó / -endő” mean in Hungarian?
Összekeverendő means “to be mixed” — Hungarian’s formal way of giving an instruction without a direct command. Add -andó or -endő to a verb stem and you get an official, impersonal “must be done,” the register used on forms and labels: kitöltendő (“to be filled in”) is the phrase stamped across Hungarian paperwork. Here it appears in a recipe warning that bean soup and bean goulash aren’t to be confused.
The clip opens by insisting “a bableves nem összekeverendő a babgulyással” — sweet bean soup (sweetened with sugar and vinegar) is not to be confused with bean goulash, a savory dish that shares little beyond the beans. Spotting -andó/-endő elsewhere — a government form, a medicine box, a museum sign — marks the same formal, no-nonsense register.
