What is an Italian “superdiario”?
Superdiario is a uniquely Italian school product: a thick, illustrated, A5 student agenda printed by big publishers (Pera Toons, Spirito Libero, Smemoranda) and pitched at medie and liceo students every late summer. Diario on its own is just “diary.” The super- prefix flags that this one has comics, stickers, mood quizzes, sometimes a built-in pencil case. Buying one is a back-to-school ritual the way American kids fight over notebook covers.
In this clip, Italian comic creator Pera Toons closes a string of one-line jokes by plugging his own superdiario with the punch line “una risata al giorno toglie brutti voti di torno” (“a laugh a day keeps bad grades away”), a riff on the Italian apple-a-day proverb.
