Persian, once it leaves the page.

Real short-form videos from native Persian speakers. Written Persian and spoken Tehrani are recognisably the same language, until they are not, which is roughly where the vowels start moving.

About comprehensible input in Persian

What is comprehensible input?

Comprehensible input is language you can mostly follow, with a small amount that is still new. The idea is often associated with Stephen Krashen: people acquire language by understanding meaningful messages, not only by memorizing rules in isolation. Persian makes that idea useful quickly, because the formal register you tend to learn first is not the register anyone uses to order tea.

Why real reels, not textbook dialogues

In everyday Tehran speech, the long ān vowel becomes un, verb endings compress, and entire phrases tighten into a rhythm that feels much more intuitive once you have heard it a few hundred times than it ever looks on paper. Reelang uses unscripted short-form video from native speakers so that rhythm arrives as context, not as an appendix: inside stories, reactions, humor, and everyday conversation.

How to use this library

Start with your level, then choose a listening difficulty you can mostly follow. From there, browse by topic depending on what you want to work on. If the formal register is comfortable and the casual one still surprises you, the fix is exposure at a level you can stay inside. Pick topics you already care about; your ear will do the rest over time.
