Slow speech Finnish

Slow Finnish gives the ear time to handle the parts of the language that English ears tend to flatten: the difference between short and long vowels (tuli, tuuli, tulli all mean different things), the difference between single and double consonants, and the case endings that pile onto the end of every noun. At slow pace you actually hear the gradation pattern that turns katu into kadulla and pankki into pankissa, and you start to recognise vowel harmony as a real-time constraint, not a textbook rule. Comprehensible-input channels and slow children’s narration are especially good here, since vocabulary stays concrete and case endings repeat in tight patterns. Listen once for the noun, then again for the case ending hanging off the end of it.
